Use of the DeltaVision is restricted to members of labs whose principal investigator has a faculty appointment in the Department of Cell Biology.
Live cell imaging
The DeltaVision is an efficient wide field microscope with an environmental chamber providing heat and CO2, suitable for long-term live cell imaging experiments.
Deconvolution
The DeltaVision was optimized from conception for deconvolution, with very accurate focus motors and a carefully collected PSF library.
TIRF
TIRF excites only the fluorophores within a very small distance from the coverslip, dramatically decreasing background and increasing contrast when imaging objects close to the coverslip.
FRAP
Equipped with the capability to perform photo-manipulation, photo-activation, or photo-bleaching (FRAP) experiments, both in wide field as well as in TIRF mode.
